Elucidat: Can You Spot The Fake Smile?

Visit elearning Made with Elucidat

Some people’s faces are difficult to read – mine unfortunately reveals everything!!! If you’re in a customer facing role can your customers tell the difference between a genuine smile and a fake one?

Elucidat puts this to the test in a mini game that touches on the importance of a genuine smile in a customer-facing role. Learners have to keep their eye on the time while they complete the quiz.

  • Uses a timer to motivate learners to complete the quiz.
  • Color codes the correct/incorrect feedback.

How to improve this elearning

This quiz could be enhanced by adding a confidence scale at the start, along the lines of ‘How confident are you at spotting a fake smile?’ Adding a score to each question could gamify the quiz further and enable learners to compare their final score with others.

If this training is for customer facing roles then the learner will need some supporting company direction. It’s not enough to say ‘stop faking it’ but rather support learners to get inspired to promote the product, and to look at every customer as a step closer to achieving their goals. Adding links to customer survey data could also show why this is important.
